Judith A. Tipton, 83, of Coleman died Wednesday October 9, 2024 at MyMichigan Medical Center, Midland. She was born January 22, 1941 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Charles & LaDonna (Robison) Decker, Jr.
Judith A. DeYoung married Richard D. Tipton, Sr. October 30, 1959 in DeWitt. He preceded her in death March 2, 2016. Judy worked as a secretary for East Lansing High School. They then moved from East Lansing to Beaverton in 1978. Along with her husband, they owned and operated Tipton Transport, Inc. She also worked for Vercon in Coleman. She loved to sew, crochet and work on her ancestry. She was a fantastic cook, avid reader and loved her cat (pretty kitty). Richard was the love of her life.
Survivors include her children: Kery R. (Becky) Tipton of Greensboro, NC, Richard D. (Deb) Tipton, Jr. of Niagara, WI, Valerie (Dennis) Vallette of Coleman, Samantha Tipton of Coleman, Rebecca A. (Donald) Longstreth, Sr. of Coleman grandchildren: Jason (Danielle) Tipton, Vicki (Shon) Tipton, Alex (Bryan) Tipton, Rachel (Aaron) Tipton-Hund, Michael (Heidi) Tipton, April (Christopher) Testini, Jeffery (Sarah) Mason, Amanda (Tony) Harvey, Jennafer Tipton, Donald (Mandy) Longstreth, Jr., Jacob Longstreth and Fiancée Kimberleigh Killian, Kristopher Longstreth, great-grandchildren: Harper, Lily, Taylor, Haley, Eli, Kayden, Ivy, Aiden, Abygail, Weston, Maislee, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother Chuck DeYoung, sister Jamie Boos and step-dad Ray DeYoung.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday October 15, 2024 at the Payne Cemetery Fulton Township.
