Loretta P. Rydman, 85, of Coleman died Friday February 2, 2024 at Nottingham Place in Midland. She was born August 4, 1938 in Hope the daughter of the late Edward & Clara (Johns) Draves.
Loretta P. Draves married Robert R. Rydman June 17, 1961 in Coleman. He preceded her in death February 21, 2015. Loretta owned and operated Country Coffee Shop Restaurant in Coleman from 1986 until 1993. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, loved to cook, bake and decorate cakes. She was a Midland County 4-H leader for 35 years.
Survivors include her children Roberta & Rick Moore of Auburn, Raymond & Karen Rydman of Florida, grandchildren: Nicholas Compton & fiancé Jessica Nivison, Christopher Compton, Jessica & David Warburton, Mikayla & Tom Rydman, great-grandchildren Bailey Rydman, Logan Rydman, Coleson Compton, sister Ila Mae Ezop, sister-in-law Wilmena Monroe, several nieces and nephews. Loretta was also preceded in death by her brothers Harold and Walter Monroe, sisters Dorothy Weishuhn and Shirley Tucker.
Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday February 7, 2024 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Alan Rydman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday starting at 10 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, consider a candle or a donation to the Coleman Historical Society.
